» Omega 3 Chicken Meat Production :
Extension of trial on farmer’s poultry farm

» Innovations :

1 Development of omega-3 feed (EFM) formulations, can be added to broiler COBB 400 feed and produce omega-3 enriched chicken meat
2 Extraction of linseed. lignan (SDG) quantification by HPTLC, rat studies for pharma applications
3 Partially purified SDG fraction exhibited cardio protective effect to Isoprinosine induced cardio toxicity in rat model.
4 Standardization of method for Linseed germ plasm screening
5 Fatty acid analysis, Organoleptic properties, and physical characteristic of omega-3 chicken meat (Cobb-400)

» Products launched  :
• Mega+ Eggs • Alpha lite oil – linseed oil • Alpha lite soft gel

1 Recovery of lignan from linseed cake Lignan extracted from Linseed: Trials on rats; Results show that EE-LU (ethanolic extract of Linnum Usitatissimum (L) containing lignan) possessed partial cardio-protective effect against isoprenalin induced cardio toxicity in rat.
2 Screening of linseed germplasm Screening for identification of high omega 3 containing varieties; studies in progress.
